Login and Signup


1. How do I sign up?
Click on the Signup link at the bottom of the page. All you need is a valid email address and a screen name, signup now


2. How do I log in
Click on the Login link at the bottom of the page, then enter your full email address and password.


3. How do I update my profile?
Updating your profile lets you share information about yourself with other users on the site. When you update your profile you can add a display image, tell people where you are from and write a bit about yourself. To update your profile you must log in then click on Edit my Profile at the bottom of the screen. click here to edit your profile now


4. How do I change my password?
You can change your password at any time by first logging in, then clicking on Edit my Profile. Enter your new password then save your profile.


5. How do I change my email address?
You can change your login email at any time by first logging in, then clicking on Edit my Profile. Enter your new email address then save your profile.


6. How do I delete my profile?
Oh no! Why would you want to do that! If you need to delete your profile you can do so by logging in, clicking on My Profile at the bottom of the screen, then clicking on Delete Profile. When you delete your profile all traces of your profile, images and comments are removed permanently, you will never be able to get them back.


7. I've forgotten my password, can you send it to me?
Go the the lost password form and enter the email address you use to log in. Your password will be emailed to you.

8. I've forgotten my password, and I can't use the send password form as I don't have that email address any more, can you send it to me?
To protect user accounts I can't send out any passwords exept to the email address you use to log in to the site.


9. I log in with the correct name and password, and the site identify's me, but if I try and look at my stats or profile, it says I'm not logged in.
Browser cookies need to be enabled to log in to the site, make sure they are turned on. If cookies are on and you're still not able to get in try deleting your cookies and trying again. contact me if you're still having trouble.


10. I've tried to sign up but I did not get my password emailed to me, what is wrong?
First of all are you sure you entered your email address correctly, I get lots of emails bounced back from people mistyping their address. Next check your spam folder, the signup email might be there. Also, your email provider might be classing the email as spam and deleting it before it even gets to you. If you still can't sign up to the site contact me


11. I never signed up your this site but you are spamming me! remove me now!
Someone might have signed up to the site using your email address by mistake, you can safely delete the email and you will never be bothered again. I have never spammed anyone and I never will, If you're getting email advertising spam that says it's from ratemyink.com it is forged.

Pictures and Comments


1. How do I post a picture?
Easy, just log in, then click on Add a Tattoo. Select the picture you want to upload, the site will handle most image formats although JPG is best. Select a title and a description that tells as much about the tattoo as you can, the better the title and description the easier it will be for people to find your tattoo using the site search.


2. Someone has written a nasty comment on my picture, can you remove them?
In some cases I will remove comments that break the site terms of use. The best way to deal with bad comments is to remove them yourself. You can do this by logging in, then you have the ability to remove any comment posted against your own pictures.


3. Someone has posted a picture of me without my permission, how can I remove it?
Let me know about it, as long as you can show the picture is you I will remove the it right away.


4. Where can I see what score my pictures have?
Log in, then click on My Pictures. Under each picture is a stats link where you can see how people have rated your tattoo.


5. I'm trying to remove this pic of my tattoo, but for some reason it doesn't show up in my profile, can you delete?
Do you have more than one login? The picture may be posted under a 2nd login account, you will need to loh in to that one to remove it.


6. Is it possible to contact someone to ask them more information about their tattoo?
With any luck the person you are trying to contact has their email address or contact details on their profile page. I can't give out any more details other than what a user has agreed to share.


7. According to my picture stats I should be in the top 10, but I'm not there, what gives?
To make it into the top or bottom tables each picture must reach a certain number of votes. Even though you have a high score your picture may not have enough votes to be in the top tables yet. Also, the top and bottom tables are regenerated only once per day, sometimes the actual score of an image is out of sync with what is shown in the tables.


8. My picture has been deleted, what happened!
If the picture you post breaks the terms of use guidelines it may be deleted at any time without warning.
