Your absolutely right about the word meaning redemption in the context of the bible. The problem is that you have used the first person singular of the verb, so literally it says, "I buy" Are you Jesus?? |

You used an incorrect sigma. That sigma is only used in the middle or start of a word. When a word ends with a sigma it uses the more familiar S shaped sigma. |
