My finished cardinal tattoo says "know thyself" in Greek. I went to Greece this past May and learned people could not enter the temple of Apollo unless they knew themselves. This tattoo represents self exploration and understanding. I chose a cardinal to represent my grandmothers' favorite bird.

I drew the original outline of the bird. AJ Gavin at Ocean Mystique in Norfolk, Va did the color and shading.

	The actual phrase has an epsilon between the sigma and the alpha, this spelling is from biblical greek. Far from the greek written over the entrance to delphi
