I designed this by creating a mirror image of the Buddhist chant "Om Mani Padme Hum", written in Sanskrit.

The shoulder design is an eclipse, to represent August 11, 1999 - the night my husband and I fell in love, also the night of a full solar eclipse.

	The text is Tibetan characters and not Sanskrit, though the mantra words are. The script looks similar because they both share long roots.
