My 13 year old son was killed by the police in April of this year. My sister and I decided to memorialize him with this tattoo. The dragonfly represents life beyond this body. The pink waterlily represents change and is pink for his birthstone. His initials are MAKIV (MAK the 4th). The tats were identical done from the same pattern but my sister's is flat on her upper thigh while mine is wrapped around my ankle.
