To the Chinese,the cherry blossom is a symbol of power..it represents feminine beauty and sexuality and holds symbolic the idea of power or feminine dominance. The Japanese believe the blossom represents the transience of life and believe it is noble to not get attached to particular outcomes or become emotional because it will all pass in time.
At this point in my life I feel that both symbolic meanings are important to me. Im very happy with my new tat...Jason at Doll Star in Maysville,KY did great!
That looks great... I love flowers and branches in that location. The Kanji symbol for Sakura would look cool on the left or right of the stem at the bottom :)
